  No. We are not harvesting our baby's blood for some diabolical, robot-filled future.
  We have however, registered to have our baby's cord blood (stem cells) extracted and stored in case (A) she might need it if she were to fall ill with one of the 80 serious diseases —leukemia, for example — that can be treated by stem cells or (B) one of us or our immediate family members might need  this precious resource.
  
  This is something that we really believe in, and we want to embrace the potential that modern science affords us.
