In an effort to propel the coffee shop art revolution, we recently put up the following ad on craigslist. If you or someone you know is down to play a role in ridding coffee shops of garbage uber traditionalist art, bring it on!
Attention all DdFW artists!
If you're like us, you're probably sick of the uber traditionalist art that typifies the walls of coffee shops, restaurants, offices, etc. north of 635. While the work is typically easy on the eyes, it's often times far too easy on the brain, as it becomes an ignorable background for latte sipping and laptop typing. In an effort to combat complacency, we the Kunstallationists have begun to hang (subjectively) fresher (definitely) aesthetically different work at Dunn Bros. Coffee in Addison on Beltline and Marsh.
We recently closed the first exhibit at the coffee shop and we would like to extend an invitation to all metroplex artists interested in displaying their work. We will be hanging a "limbo" or temporary exhibit beginning on Friday, May 10th and we would love to have your help in reconceptualizing the idea of coffee shop art in North Dallas.
Please email us at kunstallationists@gmail.com with an online portfolio or digital images to be considered for the "limbo" show and other events.
If selected for the "limbo" exhibit, we will reply with further instructions and your work will go up this Friday.
